International Experience Canada (IEC) — Working Holiday, Young Professionals & Co-op

Work and explore Canada for up to 2 years — available to citizens of 35+ partner countries.

IEC allows young adults from partner countries to live and work in Canada for up to 24 months. Three sub-categories: Working Holiday (open permit — any employer), Young Professionals (employer-specific — skilled job offer required), and International Co-op (mandatory academic placement).

  • Who This Is For: Citizens of IEC partner countries generally aged 18–35 who want to gain Canadian work experience or complete a mandatory academic co-op placement.

Citizen of an IEC partner country; typically 18–35 years old.
