Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP)
Permanent residence for qualified tradespeople — no minimum education requirement.
Canada has a critical and growing demand for skilled tradespeople. The FSTP provides a dedicated Express Entry route to permanent residence for trade workers. No minimum education is required — a Red Seal certificate or provincial certificate of qualification can substitute for a Canadian employer job offer.
- Who This Is For: Tradespeople with ≥2 years of full-time trade experience (NOC TEER 2) in the past 5 years, with either a valid 1-year Canadian job offer OR a provincial/territorial certificate of qualification.
